    i remember when someone (can't remember who, ford or a outsider with ford support) took one when they were fairly new and lowered it's air suspension, removed the speed limiter and installed salt tires and ran something around 190 mph at bonneville with no other real mods

    yes, done by a magazine I believe. I think the only mod other than the ones you mentioned were moon covers on the wheels for aerodynamics. The car has a drag co-efficient of 0.31.
