Ive never done it before but my word of wisdom is this:
Take your time... and locate a used 540i bumper cover and brake ducts just in case you run into a problwm.
Just got my brake duct set from the dealer,$80, decent price I think. I've read the write ups on bmwe34.net for the 540 brake ducts. I feel confident about doing the project. Anyone have words of wisdom that has done this before?
Thanks.

Recently E34 530 applied the 540 brake ducts, try to find his post and get ahold of him if you have any questions.
The left tow hook cover has a hole for ventilation. To what exactly I can't remember.
