    Default Aux fan temp switch

There is a temperature 3 plug switch mounted on the passenger side radiator. Does it need to be plugged in to use A/C?

    No.

The aux fan will get turned on when the compressor cycles. But without having that switch in - you will not get use of the aux fan to help cool the car if it starts to overheat
