Default Transmission Conversion / E46 Parts Car

I just picked up a 2001 325iC 5 spd parts car in running condition (but cannot be repaired) with 60k miles. The car was involved in a rollover and am wondering if I could use this 5 spd transmission for conversion of an E34 525 or an E36 325? If anyone needs any parts for an E46 325 drop me an email.

I looked into transmission swap for my car a couple years ago -- basically the same project you have in front of you. The manual trans/clutch and all will bolt up to your engine, or you can bring in the whole engine/trans from the donor. The clutch pedal and master cylinder will also fit your e34. You'll probably need to bring in the computer from the manual trans donor. That leaves the drive shaft to deal with.

i haven't tried it myself yet but i have a customer that got royally ****ed on a 5 speed swap for a e36, i am relatively sure the guy got sold a e46 tranny and one of the problems was it being a inch shorter and the output flange was different then a proper e36 unit, been trying for a couple weeks to get him straightened out
all america wants is cold beer warm cat and a place to take a poop with a door on it
