Hey everyone, I was driving down the road today when a small chunk of metal fell on my right foot as it was on the gas pedal. Does anyone know what it is? It is a metallic piece, not plastic and you can see the side where it had broken off. I have a 1993 740i btw.

looks like a switch holder either for cuise control switch(clutch pressed) or brake light switch....
