So I have some time off and I'm putting in some m5 thrust arms, aluminiumum lower control arms (from thailand, no brand on them) and ireland engineering fixed camber plates. I'm into about 8 hours today and I have almost finished the left hand side. Tomorrow I'll finish off the other side. I bought a spring compressor and removed the strut and compressed the springs but I couldn't take the 19mm nut of the top of the strut as the shock's middle part (don't know it's name) kept on spinning. I don't have a rattle gun only hand tools so I didn't worry spending more time on it. I tried some vice grips on the shocks metal shaft (to keep it from spinning) but it didn't work. I wanted to remove the springs to install 3mm upper spring pads and a dust boot also. oh well maybe next time.

These aluminimum lower control arms were the bush is about 1-2mm too large to line up properly and I could not get it into the hole closest to the outside of the car (because it seems too long also). So I put it into the hole closest to the inside of the car. I gather this will cause additional camber also as the strut is on a greater angle.

Too those who have installed fixed camber plates, what hole did the lower control arm bush bolt go through? Will it matter much that the bush is going through the hole closet to inside the car. I'm assuming no-one from here would have tried it before, but hey I've been wrong in the past.

Edit: I realised that the hole nearest to the wheel is the wrong one and I put it in the one closest the to the middle of the car.
