Tremec in 540
Im considering dropping a 6 speed into my 540. the almost zero availibility and expense of getting a getrag made me wonder if i could put a tremec T56 in there. used units and parts are very easy to source and much less expensive, and it can't be too dissimilar, considering the Aston Martin vantage uses both the 5HP30 and the T56. Has anyone thought about doing it, or is it impossible without lots of custom everything?

Keisler Engineering in Tennessee makes Tremec 5 & 6 spd conversion kits for various Jaguars. There were a token few factory XJS V-12's delivered with the Getrag 265. They probably don't offer a kit for a 540i, but they might know who can.
