    Default Metric Nuts & Bolts

Going to replace upper and lower control arms next week on my 1989 535i. When ordering them forgot about lock nuts for the bolts that pass through the bushings. I'd like to get them at the local hardware store but can't figure out the marking system for these self locking nuts #6 and #11.
Sorry for the stupid question. I know the M12 and M14 are bolt diameters and the 1,5 is the pitch (fine) but what the hell is 10-PHR?

    TIA

    Jim

Are self locking nuts one time use? If you locktite the self locking nuts, my guess is you can't take them off even with a cheater bar. You probably need a bigger impact.

I alway just use them and reuse them.

self locking nuts are one time use but i use them over and over anyway. I've done this for the nuts on the swaybar links also and no worries there either. I use a 30 or 45cm breaker bar to undo the nuts with no problems and i'm weak.
