    still its interesting though, he uses a vacuum cleaner to simulate the airflow and calibrate the interceptor hehe awesome

    the thread where i originally saw it.

    I did some research myself into forced convection, and the one thing i don't particularly understand is. the temperature of the air itself effects the rate or power loss and therefore resistance of the hot wire/substrate of the MAF and not just the Mass flow of the air.
    So the MAF doesn't purely measure the Mass airflow it can be inaccurate at extreme temps!? unless the MAF has an air temp sensor and corrects for the air temp? but to my knowledge they don't

    Most MAF systems I've seen use a separate IAT (intake air temperature) sensor or have one built into the MAF itself... But most GM and Nissan products I've seen that use a MAF, also use a separate sensor for air temperature.
