I believe the e34 M5 has a black plastic rear license surround that fits between the tailights.
Does anyone have a picture and what is needed to install it on a regular e34?
Thanks,

My etk show several grommets, plugs and what looks like another narrow covering 51 13 1 973 227 that you might need as well. The narrow covering looks like it fits around the license plate lights. Also, do you need to drill new holes?

Anybody got the part number for the black piece that fits on the lock? I don't like seeing my white paint thru the surround...
Per my etk for a 93 m5 there looks like two parts that may fit around the lock. hard to tell as the illustration is not very clear. It is possible that these parts may be to hold the cover on as the ETK states you need two/each of them.
Even so here are the numbers
Grommet 51 71 1 932 996
Plug 51 71 1 927 439

I am not sure where else they were fitted, but the Aus edition 530i and 540i's came with a red reflector type of rear licence surround (except on the cars with shadowline).
See pic below (if I can get it to load).
