    Default e36 air intake sensor

    hi i have a 1996 e36 318i 4 cylinder m43 ob11 .i am trying to find the air intake sensor on it i have looked in the manuals but they do not show where it is any info or pics of where it is would be great

    The air intake sensor is the MAF (mass airflow sensor). It is located between the air cleaner housing and the throttle body which contains the throttle plate that moves when you push on the accelerator. It is an alloy housing with a black or dark coloured rectangular top on it with a round wiring connector plug on the side.
