    Default Any Comments?

Looking into getting a 1992 520i ( In Europe presently) and wondered if anyone has any ideas or comments about them? How's the 2.0 engine? Obviously everyone is going to say get the 525!!!, but I fill up the volvo (got 22mpg @82mph on a 3.5 hour trip today) and spend 80-85 €!! ( that is Euros) 85x1.35=114 dollars!!!ouch.
HOw is the milage on a 2.0 the TDs are a bit spendy and have unbelievable high miles.
    Thanks

Which country? 520i's MPG are not far from 525i's. TDs may have higher mileage but will easily reach high age. Or ou could go LPG but that's only do-able in a country that has plenty of supply points.

Looked at a 520i here in Oz (for a mate) recently and thought it was OK - but that was with the 5 speed auto. In manual guise (not available in Oz) it should be much nicer.

Probably little difference in fuel consumption from a 525i though.

hey well I bought a 1995 520i for 4750euros with only 130k on it with a five speed..velour seats though, not like my 540,
I guess that I'll get about 30-35 mpg on it or around 7.5-8l/100km.
bonus with winter tires on BMW rims!
thanks for the input from Grasberg Germany (Niedersaschen)
