First close the glovebox that the lock snaps in, then tighten or insert all other screws/clamps.
Got several new wood trim pieces and have started installing them. Put on the glove box but the latch will not catch. Took off the outside handle and pushed the locking mechanism into the square hole under the dash until it caught, then I push the glove box up as if it were closed. It looks like there is an 3/16" gap. How can I remove the gap? I have already adjust the clamps in the back so the front of the glove box fits very nicely with the dash.

I tried leaving the clamps loose but it still would not lock.
Wait, did you upgrade from the old non-wood glove box to one with wood trim on it? If So, you'll need the latch catch and interior glove box panels that came with the car that had wood trim. they're different somewhat.
Looks like I have more parts to send you Ken. They will be coming soon...Den
Can you take a look at the OEM site and let me know what parts I will need
