Default Noisey M60 after hard use

As some of you will have read,I took my 540 to the Nurburgring at Easter. After a 13 mile lap, the engine was very 'tappy' after this. Same thing after just a couple of sideways laps of the local roundabout. Give it a min and it all goes quiet again and runs fine. Any ideas ?

the oil pump is probably in the process of falling off and it's sucking air, takes a couple minutes for the lifters to burp
all america wants is cold beer warm cat and a place to take a poop with a door on it
