Default Sqeaky clutch. Is this a problem?

I noticed the other day that with the windows down and the engine off I could hear a sqeaking noise associated with the depression of my clutch coming from outside the car, probably the transmission.

I had my clutch replaced about 2000 miles ago and I'm wondering is this noise is a problem and/or its worth asking the mechanic that did to the work to look at it and try to fix it.

The noise isn't loud enough to be annoying and I only just noticed it over the weekend. It may have been making such a noise all winter without me knowing.

Maybe the throwout bearing and arm didn't get greased up during the install. Possibly you need new bushings on throwout arm and clutch pedal.
