    Default My New Wheels!!

Here are a few pics of my new wheels! They are Privat Kraftwerk 18X8.5 w/Toyo 234-40/18.

I only had my Camcorder on hand for the for the pics so not the greatest, but you get the idea. And yes, I know it needs lowering [smile]....

Nice wheels! Actually, there is no need to lower (especially the rear). It already looks great! How's ride quality? Do you feel any resistance from wider tires?

Thanks!! Ride quality surprisingly almost feels the same as when I had the stock 15" balloons. The tires are honestly only 10mm wider, they're 235 whereas the stockers were 225.. No real resistance to turning, although it's harder to break them loose now.. a good thing. But, that could also be that the tires are brand new!

Your car is already lowered... it is M-tech suspension installed by BMW factory.

Haha!! I know that! Never stopped us (Bimmer heads), from improving upon factory now did it? But, actually lowering is not really a consideration right now.. Need to do brakes and other stuff first..

    Looks great.

When I switched (and I've got 215/40s temporarily) the ride quality IMPROVED, in my opinion, because you could feel what the road surface was instead of the Lexus-like isolation.

My turn-in was drastically improved as well, I'm sure you can feel the difference too.

Default Nice looking set, very clean!

I've got the same tires but in 17" and love 'em. You'll find that they run best around 30 - 35 psi. I haven't had a Toyo tire that I didn't like yet. These give a large contact area with the road and corner really well.

    Enjoy!

Thanks for all the compliments! And yes, Denton, it did ride smooth almost like stock but more feel, if that makes sense.. I thought it would be otherwise, less sidewall, bigger wheels, etc., but pleasantly surprised.
