Default Looking to rejoin the E34 family

Hey guys. It's been a while since I've been on here. Got rid of my 525 a while ago but I'm looking to rejoin the e34 family. I'm looking at a '95 540i 6spd. 192k miles and the engine has swapped to Alusil. I don't have a lot of experience with the V8s and I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I should look for in this engine/tranny combo before I get serious about the purchase. Any help as to what to look for, issues, etc. Any insight at all would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Check maintenance history for gasket changes, water pumps, radiators, aux fans, power steering hoses, etc. At 192, the later these repairs were made, the better for you. It's all about the history
