    Default 735i 5 speed

    Hello All!
New to this forum. Just curious how many e32 735i's with a 5 speed were made and sold here in the states. Any info would be appreciated. I just happen to acquire one and I can't decide if I want to keep it or not.

Hi - welcome to the forum!

I think factory 5-speeds in the US are quite rare, 12,000 seems too high for US 5-speeds, that might be the total number made for all markets perhaps? IMHO a 5-speed E32 is definitely a keeper!

There is at least one member (Don Gale) who has a 5-speed E32 but it's a conversion... he posts here regularly.

Also - you'll find that many more people read posts on the e34 side, and it's common for you e32-ers to post questions there too for more visibility.

You could swap in an automatic... should be all the parts you need pretty handy since so many go the other way!

No thanks on the auto. Want to keep it the way it was. But thanks for the input. Should have her back on the road soon. If the guy from the Illinois area is still interested hit me up here and let me know.
