    Default Starter help please!! 1990 525ia m20

alright so i picked up another starter, scrap said it's for a 90 525ia

but again i don't seem to have a connector for 30h

can someone please take a pick if you have an automatic 1990 525i m20, i need to see how the wiring is, and i'm pretty sure that a main wire has been cut (from alternator to starter), all i have is a 4 guage wire going directly to the battery (battery is in engine bay), a yellow/black wire and green/black wire

    pics please!!

    thanks!!

Yellow/black and green/black can both be connected together at the solenoid connector (the smaller one of the two you can see). That's how mine is. It works perfectly.

just one more question, is there 1 or 2 wires coming off of the the main terminal(battery / alternator, or just battery)

    thanks

Do you mean the big terminal on the alternator? IIRC there's the big cable that comes from the battery, and a little flexible tail from the starter solenoid that also goes there. Push both leads on the bolt, tighten the locknut over the top and she's good to go!
