    Default Wheel Bearing

I have a 1996 528i and I believe that the left rear wheel bearing is out. When you drive it you hear a faint whine in the rear to the left. Now I heard that you cant just change the bearing that you have to change the whole hub. I dont know if this is true or not. I was just wondering if i could change just the bearing in the rear or not. Or if there is any different things that I should know about. Thanks

in the front you have to replace the hub

in the rear you should be able to change just the bearing.
