when i accelerate my car at about 2.3K rpm it seems to hit a bog for a second. i can only describe this as getting stuck in glue for a slplit second. it does this at the same spot everytime but seems to go away my when my fuel tank is full. any ideas?

Manual or automatic? I've gotten rid of the hesitation on mine by 1. changing the spark plugs 2. cleaning MAF 3. changing the o2 sensor. Also check for any cracked or loose hoses. Vacuum leaks will make these engines run like crap.
I have a 1993 525i with a 5 speed that does the exact same thing. Right about 2.5k through 3 or so, hesitates badly. Have changed my plugs, cleaned the MAF. Need to check my O2 sensors. Very strange.
Cant the newbie stick up for himself? Its not like he didnt ask for it...besides, i gave him a free bump without providing false or unrelated information.Originally Posted by RallyD

I have a 93 525, 5 speed, 195k miles. I have changed plugs, cleaned MAF, and when O2 sensor was new, still had the same problem. I have been looking for a solution to this for years.
I had the same symptons in a 535, made all the same changes. Never really fixed it. It turned out to be the fuel pump which is located in the gas tank.
