Default E34 tweeter pod on door question

Yeah the wiring should be there. If not not mistaken, the crossover is already built into the amp from the factory. I know it is for the rest of the speakers. If not, when you get factory tweeters, they will come with crossovers anyways.

But yeah, im pretty sure the wiring is there.

the 520 were very rarely wired for anything that they didnt already have
525 petrol and above usually had all the wiring

Yeah, but my 89 525i doesn't have the CD wiring at all, so be careful.

The wires are (IIRC) yellow and yellow/orange. At least on my 535. Good luck

It would be very time consuming for BMW to later go back and have to run new wires for the tweeters. Adding door pods and tweeters, and tapping into existing wires would be easiest.

I would simply take one door panel off and look for them before you make your decision.

the 518 and 520 were the "budget models" so billy may well be correct
