I think he's worried about it sticking out a tad towards the wheel. My ducts (factory job) stick out a couple mm's. So it's not too bad.

2 winfred - NHF man, but that imho doesn't look good at all. i'd cut the factory "lip", and put it in, because this way you have two lips, which look kinda silly when they are both black. if you'd paint them in car color, it'd be much better.....did you consider that?
I think it looks ok, but like you ^ said, paint would help. Whats the deal with his fog lights though?

bubble covers on the fogs, and i sold that car over a year ago so the point about paint is moot, although i was thinking about maybe making the upper lip body color when i painted it
