Say you have a 94/95 with the newer mirrors and no memory seats. Is there a way to wire the passenger mirror to dip when putting the gear shift in reverse? Like tapping into the reverse light circuit, etc.?

I suppose you could build a custom relay box and use power-on time to get the mirror to dip when the car is put in reverse, but the real (and difficult) solution is to rewire the doors for memory, acquire memory mirrors, memory control module, memory harness and seats. Going the route of the custom relay box: without having the potentiometers in the mirror, you'd also have to leave the pass mirror in one position all the time, so that the timing didn't get screwed up on the dip and return to normal position.

I also have to say, it's a marginally useful feature and is mostly an annoyance. Like park distance control.....invented for drivers who don't know how to park the car.

I like your ideas, leaving the mirror in one position is no problem.
And the main reason i want to get into this, is because i have to parallel park 4 days a week on a busy university street. I thought it would make my day easier and keep curb rash off my M-Pars

That is very difficult to do. The dip mode mirrors are completely different inside and they have more wires and a different wire loom.
The original design has a memory module under the front seat and it processes the position of the mirror, the seat, seat height, seat back position.
Because otherwise it will not work.
Instead of that costly investment I would try install one of these small round wide angle mirrors on the outside mirror, they just can be sticked on with tape.

The wide angle mirrors are a great addition. It is the first thing that I install on any car I plan to drive. Once you get used to them, you'll be able to assess your surroundings much quicker than with the regular mirrors. Parking is also easier due to the wider viewing angle. All in all, they can be had for about a buck a piece at places like walmart. Just my $.02
