It's not fixed. The joint was dry and binding from lack of lubrication. The fact that spraying oil on it provides temporary relief is proof that the seals are shot.
This is the connection that allows you to steer the car. The joint is NFG and needs to be replaced. That little "hitch" in the steering as it binds will happen at the most inopportune time.
