Update-steering Failure Fixed!!

It's not fixed. The joint was dry and binding from lack of lubrication. The fact that spraying oil on it provides temporary relief is proof that the seals are shot.
This is the connection that allows you to steer the car. The joint is NFG and needs to be replaced. That little "hitch" in the steering as it binds will happen at the most inopportune time.

Yes I understand and agree. I guess what I meant was that it was a very simple fix compared to a pump or rack....

I do intend to fix the joint....
I only wish someone would have mentioned this possibility for me...

Just a stab in the dark here but I have heard that repeated O2 sensor failure messages aren't always the cause of the O2 sensor itself but contamination of the sensor from "upstream", things like coolant or oil from a weeping head gasket etc.............

O2 sensors operate between narrow voltage parameters and require steady voltage inputs. If the voltage supply to your sensors are incorrect it can also cause a fault message.
