My touring has the factory cross bars. I would like to remove them but the lock cylinders are seized. They are really sturdy and will be useful at times, but it would be nice to keep in the garage when not in use. They make a real racket (wind noise) when the sunroofs are open.

My touring came with a Yakima rack set up that I'll use when carrying the kayaks. Much easier to pop on & off then the factory bars and narrow enough to accept my kayak mounts.
