Not quite....
So my milage was a bit off, I have actually only done 162,000 - which is even better than I thought. When I posted on that other thread it was night-time and I 'guessed' the milage.
..Well, the snow has all melted now, infact its beautiful sunshine out there atm....We only had snow for like, 2 days - and then it was all gone over-night...
So, I went and filled up the Zimmer.....
As for the Smart Car, that'll only do 80mph (MAX), but 10 Euros worth of gas lasts all week!
Oh and yes, I'm in a different Time-Zone, most of you US Chaps are probably still in bed! (Its now 13:18 over here) and I have been up for just over an hour - gosh, its a hard life.....

FC's original post offered the chance of error in the readings. The math indicates an actual speed of perhaps 147mph which he hasn't argued.
!47 is a plausable velocity especially given the admitted decending nature of the "deserted motorway"
Why all the controversy?
This is the third and last time the US will defend the French.

Dear Ross,
Thanks man - tho I ain't French, actually I'm Canadian (and an English speaking one at that) - however, you might prefer Frogs over Canuks......
You are right, I dare say my speedo is probably well off, given the different Diff, larger Rims, down-hill running etc etc etc....
I had a Rover once (620Si) - took it to an (indicated) 140mph, the speedo needle then stuck at 140mph and I had to get a new cable.
Then I had a Merc (190E Cosworth) - which had BLATANTLY be 'caned' as the speedo needle used to fluctuate - even at a constant speed. Rekon someone had taken it too fast (or done burn-outs) and stretched the speedo cable - hence the dodgy reading....
I was more impressed by the RPM myself.......
Sorry, I don't believe you at all. Maybe your M30 CAN display that it goes that fast on the speedo, but claiming you "guessed" your mileage and were 30,000 miles off simply doesn't add up.
Sorry dude, non-believer

hmm okay. WITHOUT LOOKING - whats the milage on YOUR car? - EXACTLY?
......a-hole.....
What would you like?, a picture of the speedo (again) showing the milage?
My middle finger in the picture too? perhaps a copy of today's newspaper? - background of me humping yo' mamma on the hood?
and what exactly is a 535iM anyway?
You know you just gotta 535i SE (Sport) - just like me (except slower cos yours is the US version) - HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Just make a video if you want to prove it. And better yet, bring a GPS with you to record your exact speed.

I know within 1000 miles of my milage AT ALL TIMES, it's not hard. To be 30,000 off is a lie.

So fun!![]()
The M at the end means Manual cocktard, do a tiny bit a research before you try to shift the topic. 540iM=Manual 525iA=automatic M540i=M-sport Your535iSE=abusedOriginally Posted by Flamin'Homo

.... From a ladies perspective....
If I drive the car regularly (or even rent one) I know the mileage within a thousand (first three digits anyways).
535i = 183,xxx
XJ6 = 127,xxx
Trusty minivan = 124,xxx
Daughter's Kia = 81,xxx
Son's Taurus = 62,xxx
Aurora I rented in Hawaii = 3,122
Get the picture?
Seriously, how do you stay on top of your maintenace and oil changes? What are you looking at each time you look at the dashboard? Do you ever figure up your gas mileage? I guess I assumed anyone who drove a car knew a ball park figure of their milage, specially someone who loves there car like I love my BMW.
