Default '89 M20 Auto Transmission whine, how much do YOU have?

My transmission is a bit whiney, I wasn't sure if this was typical or if I need to change my transmission fluid?

Not really loud, and seems smooth (shifts great every time) but I didn't know if it was normal...
    Just curious... Input?

it seems most aftermarket manufactures "O" rings are smaller and seep air into the pickup tube. Get something OEM.

    Default whine can be from

wear, usually a slight whine going slow, does not get louder with speed.

leaky filter O ring, as Jeff pointed out a bad O ring or wrong filter (short pick up tube) will cause air the enter the system. More common on the V8 trans.
