Haha, yeah those thermal paper receipts fade away
Has anyone else noticed that the warranty receipts you get from Autozone, Advance Auto, O-Reilly's, etc. seem to have printing that disappears as the receipt gets older??? I was looking for a battery receipt tonight and noticed that quite a few of the older receipts had print that was barely legible. Is it just me, or does anyone else wonder if it's designed to do that? Since I began noticing this, I now make a photocopy as soon as I get home and staple the receipt to it. That way, there's no guess work when it comes time for them to make good on a warranty. Something to think about...

autozone puts your name into the computer when you buy stuff with a warranty. Not sure if they would look it up if you had a claim.

they will fade real quick if subjected to a very warm environment.
