Default Frustrated! I need some quick help with my glove box

So I just received another glove box to replace the one I had that was broken. I put the two rear clips near the firewall on and the straps and I have a problem... It won't close. If I close it by hand and hold it, everything is lined up perfectly, but the little piece that latches into the top seems like it's about 1/4" away from latching and I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

Default If it's the same then

leave the two clips loose in the back and try to slowly aligne & close it.

if everything lines up and closes thight, reach under and lock the clips.

I did that, but it just doesn't seem to reach the little metal hole where the latch is supposed to go in to. Everything lines up perfectly, alignment and everything, but it seems like the latch isn't long enough and I'm not sure what to do. It's just frustrating because I just bought this glove box and it isn't catching.

Do you think it would work if I take apart the latch, buy some longer screws, and put some sort of spacers in the latch?

    Default Where's the old one?

Tale a look at the latch, see if some of the old parts need to be swapped

can you take any pics of the old box/latch and the new? there isn't many adjustments and 1/4 inch isnt much. something else
    might still be the problem.

Finally figured it out, it is different and not a direct swap out. The latch is in a different position and will not fit. Boo.
