The fan is on the water pump pulley. There is a weep hole on the pump housing that should have a trail of coolant coming out if the bearings are shot and causing the fan to wobble.
A couple of weeks ago i got my exhaust replaced i noticed that the fan was not tracking very straight. Simple question, is the fan mounted to the water pump (ie its bearing is part of the water pump)? If so i think its time for a new one![]()

need a special tool to hold the pump shaft while you turn the bolts which hold fan on, you can make one w/out too much diffuculty. Search this board for the tool. Then you need some bolts (6mm ??) which thread into holes on the pump and push it off the front of the block. Not a bad job once you get the fan off.
