there was a thread about this yesterday...
Was going to go shopping for the holidays. As i unlocked the door i realized my battery was dead, because only my door unlocked, no problem, i got a battery booster pack in the back, i unlock the door for my girlfriend from the inside. As i start the boosting procedure (which was unsuccesful because the booster had been in the cold and lost charge) i noticed my expansion tank for coolant was essentially empty, GRRR, no problem right, i just added some coolant. Then my girlfriend says: The door wont close.
Why wont the door close, is there something inbetween it?
Nope
What has happened is that the mechanism which keeps the door shut (the ratchet as i call it) somehow has failed. leaving the door as loose as a swinging door.
Is this because it is 17 degrees F outside? never happened before,
Help!
How can the gods of defects get so frickin creative?! Lets f8ck with this guys door latch, thats a new one, hehe
anyway
All the help is appreciated as downtime of this car means i am not on call with the fire dept.
i will get back on the two other problems some other time, i dont want to have my car not have a door mechanism while parked on a college campus.
Thanks!
