just a quick check, does anyone have the radio unit that tells you what station you are on, on your speedo check control
some early units did, what models were they, does anyone know?

Nope, it was a late feature and I'm not even sure it was earlier than the 1995 model year. I just don't remember when it began. I suspect you'd at least have to have the phone-book lookup version controls, as a guess.
I dunno if my 95 has it... if E34 had it, it should. (11/95 production date)
I'm having an issue with my OBC/cluster readout tho, see my other thread...
my 95 has it, nice feature. One reason I may not change the head unit. It also sounds fine to my "older" ears. I sure would like an aux input for whatever is the "current" other input of the day.
Thanks,

and what make/model is that Russell?Originally Posted by Russell
want adapter with aux input to add to my stock OE radio. I think there are several non OE head units that accept aux input. Check archive or soemone line Crutchfield. I hope this is what you meant.

My '95 also has that feature. 7/95 build
"The gas pedal wouldn't go to the floor if it weren't meant to be there"
I believe this feature started in the '94 model year (an e34 I test drove when I bought my car had it), my '93 does not have it.
I have it in mine.
I also have the stalk for phone directory control/display.
According to the radio manual it is for 1991+ (e34) cars.
The back of the manual has a sticker with the following part #'s:
88 88 1 600 235 / 275 (Radio)
82 11 1 467 056 (Radio)
82 11 1 467 058 (Manual)
Inside they talk about the optional trunk mounted CD changer:
82 11 1 467 693
(however there are/were 2 models available: pioneer and alpine, i don't know which the above part # is for, maybe neither ?).
Stry i couldn't find any of these #s on realoem.
Nor could i find _any_ e34 radios for USA vehicles on realoem.
