Good luck mate but I had no takers for my UK e34 525 recently.

You will find it's not easy to get rid of e34's in the UK, especially knackared ones.

If you lived nearer to me then I would have bought it right now. Sadly Canterbury to Tyneside is about a million miles!

Hope it goes to a good home,

[putting on flame suit] wouldn't a salvage yard give more than $200?

A UK scrap yard will give you £0-£40 for one. You can get them towed away but you have to PAY for that!

How come all the photos are so foggy? Is that real fog or just dirty lens?
Nice ext. color though. I've never seen this color in US.

Some of us likes 'em just fine, but they're muuuuch more plentiful than in North America and don't have the same sports-luxury cachet. Here, they're just a big, old, out-of-fashion car. Think "early 90's Oldsmobile" and you've got the general concept.

For those of us who do like them, we can find premium examples for next to nothing, or fixers for literally nothing. There's also a general perception that they're expensive to fix and get terrible fuel mileage -- which is probably true if you're running a clapped-out example that you can't fix yourself. If you're good with a wrench, however, a good E34 is amazingly economical transportation.

I took a good long look at the E39 a few years ago when I needed a car to replace my worn-out E28, but given that I do all my own repairs and can source E34 parts cheap, it made the most sense to go the E34 route.
