    Default Fuel pipe non-return valve

Hi Guys! I did a search here and found the part number for the inline non-return valve - 16149068988, and an approx US price of $7-ish. So I rang my dealer (I'm in the UK)and gave him the part number and he said he'll need to order it in and it's £150+. Yes that's £150!!!! For a non-return valve? I would imagine this is a fairly common and cheap part in cars, boats, 4x4s, fork-lifts etc. Anyone know of a alternate supplier either in the UK or who will ship to the UK without charging a king's ransom?

    Thanks for all your help!

Thanks for that Shogun. There's a Mercedes Truck/HGV parts centre next to where I work. I'll pop in on Monday after work and see what they have.

    Thanks again,

I've just found these on ebay. What do you think? Will one of these do the job?

Looks too big, don't forget you have to put the cover back on.

Hmm, I never thought about that - yes that might be a problem. What would happen if I fitted it further downstream, say 8 inches, closer to the inlet of the fuel filter? Or would that sort of defeat it's purpose, due to vibration etc?

    Thanks,

Well the fuel upstream of the valve would still drain back but it wont be as hard to start.

I have more information from another local BMW $tealer - the non return valve kit that I originally wanted is not available in this country (!). So the US guys can get them for like $3-7 and I can't get one for love nor money!! Odd eh?LOL

    Cheers,

I'm in the UK. I was going to orderthe kit from BMA, but when I filled in the online order form, the postage quoted was something like $50! Somehow I can't justify that for a $5 part.

    Cheers,
