Default How to lock the keys INSIDE the car?

    Hi,
I'll be dropping off the 535i for some work and I want the mechanic to lock the keys INSIDE the car, and then I would come pick it up and open the car w/ another set of keys.

I KNOW there is a way of doing it as I've done it on an E46, i just don't remember the procedure... I remember having to throw in the keys thru the passanger side door, but that's about it.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    -Kamil

You can also open the trunk, go around and get inside the car, lock the doors, climb through the ski pass-through into the open trunk, then climb out and close the trunk lid...

I wish I had a ski pass-thu and/or a folding rear seats. I ski and bike, and I hate using roof racks or trunk racks, they kill the gas milage, create noise, scratch the paint and are succitible (sp?) to theft... plus, make the car look ugly and heavy.

Kamil, I though all of us E34 drivers had pass throughs?

Nope, I sure don't. My E46 had a pass-thru and fold-down rear seat (part of the cold weather package) and my E36 coupe had fold down seats only (standart on all E36 and E46 coupes), but none of the of the E39s I've ever looked at did, tho it was an option and I understand that there are many that do.
Same is the case for E34s; I have a feeling the the later E34s might have more commonly equipped w/ pass-thrus and/or folding rear seats.

The E34 tourings I've seen have the fold-down seats, but yeah, my sedan has neither the pass-through nor the fold-down. I'd love fold-down seats! I have to take my wife's Jetta when I need to haul big stuff.....now THAT's a TRUNK.
