My 525i vs 06 Mustang GT

Well I just had a decent rush tonight from a stop light.

I was coming home from a friends house, jamming to Guns and Roses, when a 06 Mustang GT pulls up next to me and rev's its engine. Now I know that He's got close to 300 hp and I'm hopefully putting out 185. The lights goes green. He smokes me off the line and up until the first 150 foot mark. I hold my shift to 5500 on first and second. By the time I shift to third we're side by side. 5500, shift again. 4th comes slowly, and I see him in my rearview. I look at the speedo and it was more than 85.
