transmission front seal leak

I noticed some transmission oil leak, further investigation made me think that it might be the front seal. Its not leaking much, couple of drops when the car idles. I was wondering whether any of you changed the front seal. What kind of a whole am I looking in my pocket? Should I keep driving the car and keep adding fluid from time to time or should I get it fixed? Whats involved?

The front seal cost around $5. Maybe $7. It is a piece of cake to replace. But you have to remove the gear box.
