    Default exhaust removal problems!

help, i have an 88' 325i convert., i have managed to get all of the bolts off of my cat back, yet i still cannot remove the exhaust. one pipe separates at the flange, however the second has about 2 inches of cat pipe inserted in it and i cant separate them! any suggests? i've pulled, twisted, banged, etc.

i used an angle grinder when i changes my exhaust.. had the same problem.

Just moved the grinder over the pipe that was gonna be replaced and smoothly in back and forwards movements "grinded" my way down the metal until i could see the cat pipe.... remember.. dont grind the cat pipe stop when u see it. When i was through i took my screwdriver and opened the pipe. Then the rest was very easy
