Fans working, but very little air comes out

Hope you blokes can help me out here, my heater fan works on all 4 speeds, but hardly any air comes out of the vents that de-mist the windscreen.Could this be something to do with the polen filter? This is on an E34 touring, 93 reg.

Your pollen filter is one big, fat clog. Before I changed mine, there was almost no air coming through the vents though the blower was whizzing around like a hamster on speed. The old filter was black with an eighth of an inch of crud on the outside surface.

If your '93 has the filter in the same place as my '92, you'll have to remove the under-dash cover above the pedals and contort yourself into an unpleasant position under the dash to remove the yellow cover on the heater box, but it's definitely a DIY job.

Sorted, pics as well. Cheers Bob. My motors an auto, so hopefully slightly easier that the write-up suggests.
By the way, read yer profile....easy with the lighter, especialy after a few beers!
