M30 Head ID and Block ID

So I found out how to ID the year of the cylinder head but what about block?
There are also many other numbers on the cylinder head as well as the block. Anyone "decode before???

I have a 89 34 with the original block and head but I have another engine with a cylinder head from a 86 and I am not sure about the block.

As i know,look for a roundell with a date.If youre standing in front of the car/engine it shoult be on the right.

Thanks. I have checked it out last week and I emailed him if he has any more info. I am talking to some BMW techs next door that may have some answers to more ID codes.
