What the hell is this part?
And where does it go? #4 in the pic. I input my VIN on realoem so if it's showing it should go to my car, but I can't for the life of me figure out how that incorporates into my alternator cooling apparatus. '89 535im m30 motor. Any thoughts? Thanks!

different year, or model 735? maybe.

On my car, 525i, I have a 4, not a 1/3 combination.
Would say 1/3 are for the M30, and a 4 for the M50.

Okay, that makes sense. Interesting though, since usually if you search parts by using the last 6 of your VIN, it will only list parts that pertain to that particular car.

My #4 has been broken from #5 for the entire time I've had the car. Meh.
