I'm not a fan of plates that blatantly say what the car is, like BMWE34 or whatever, its so easy to tell that it's a BMW, you don't need to spend money on a plate (cosmetic or actual government registered) to state the obvious.

Oh no not at all Paul! Seriously, my opinion is just of one man, if you are happy with getting the above plate, then by all means do it.

I just find it a little pointless to spend big bucks (at least in Victoria, Australia) to get plates that say BMW on it when it's clear that the car they're on is a BMW in the first place. Kind of like wearing a Nike hat, Nike sweater, Nike tracksuit pants, Nike socks, Nike underwear, Nike shoes... looks a bit silly in my opinion.

Rob's Queensland euro plates are better IMO, it is more personal, and if he ever decides to get rid of the E34 and finally get the Porsche he wants, he can transfer the plates over easily.

EDIT: By the way, I want to get europlates for my E34. In Victoria where I am, there are very limited choices in what I can have on my euro, 2 letters and 3 numbers only, in that order. GH are my initials.
