    Default Xenons on my E34

I installed 2 sets of xenons on my E34 both for the high and low beams.
The electrician insisted not to install the harness that I got with the sets and installed the ballasts directly connected to the car's harness.
Two things happened that are worrying me:
    1) He changed the original fuses with 30A fuses for some reason
    2) The lights take some time till they fully glow
    3) When I use the high beam the casstette player shuts off momentarily
    Help me

Out of interest, why did you go for HIDs for your high beams, from my understanding HIDs cannot be flashed like an filament bulb can.

They can be flashed, actually they flash like a flash light of the camera (great over-taking tool at night). They give you day-light vision adn excellent distant vision on open roads. I believe it is better to put on the high rather than the low beam

They don't flash properly and stress the harness and bulbs. HIDs require a warmup time. If you repeatedly flash (like twice) without letting the salts cool, you'll lose your bulbs in no time.

With this comment " I believe it is better to put on the high rather than the low beam" I hope you're actually talking about fogs versus dipped and not high/low because it's just silly.

i think he means he thinks the HIDS are of more value in the highs than the lows.

You cannot flash HID bulbs, you're going to kill them.

Also, upgrading the fuse is normal. I think you should have went with HIDs only in the low beams personally.

I did the file and dremel method as seen on the bmwe34 website (modified 9005), I now have no complaints about the headlights. The highs don't need changing, even now my friends are always raving about how bright my high beams are. I might add that the very white (VERY minute blue tint) light compliments the amber corners quite nicely at night ;-)
