I am going with a set of 18's myself. They are factory bmw rims and are called M-Parallels.

    Here's what they look like.

The larger the wheels, the more precise your suspension must be in order for the car to maintain its OEM drivability. Another concern is that large wheels sizes will put more strain on the suspension, causing bushings and such to wear out at a faster rate. Dont forget that larger wheels will also demand more from your engine and brakes because they are usually heavier, even if the outside diameter remains unchanged.

the biggest you can really go is 20" but it looks like **** and will ruin your suspension. realistically speaking, 18" should be your max. 19 can be done, but be prepared for a teeth chattering ride.

I'm running 235-45/17 and am looking to move to 18s. The 17s are starting to look too small

Please note, be prepared to refurbish all your suspension components and control arms should you decide to do this... else you'll be chasing some 50kph vibration or something. Heh.

Just be careful not to go over 35's. You wouldn't want it to look stupid...
