    Default oil pan bolts

    the last owner of my car striped some of the oil pan bolts and one broke off.
    I know you can remove them and re thread it and get bigger bolts but I was thinking can I just replace the upper oil pan.
    any ideas?

    i am guessing you have a v8? yes you can replace the upper pan, it's a pain in the ass to change and is not cheep, a 6mm x 1.00 helicoil kit is cheep takes about 5 minutes a hole and if properly done makes stronger threads in the aluminum then it orignally had
