    well I tired it and itwouldn't work, couldnt conenct ot the servers. Besides which Mirc costs MONEY> and f that.

    Last time I was on IRC was 1998 I think, or maybe 1997.

    Oh and btw your first pic is not showing.

    Yeah I'm getting connection errors here too -- give it an hour or two and it should be back up. You have to remember IRC networks are run for free without any payment or donations from its users, so it's pretty good value considering what you pay for

    There are a few IRC clients out there which, admittedly aren't as 'good' as mIRC, however are free to buy and use. You could try those. I use X-Chat which have ports to many operating systems including Windows, you could try that, or if you use Firefox or Opera as your internet browser there are IRC plugins you could use to connect.

    Uhm, just to reiterate Yiorgos' reply, if it wasn't free, I wouldn't have used it as a medium for users to correspond...and I've used irc since at least 1988. If you get that splash about buying mIRC commercially, wait till the timer expires and close it. mIRC program itself is quiet for the first 30 days usually then that box comes up, but you can continue using the program. You can use *all* the features of the program reguardless of how long you've had that annoying box up. Funny how that works huh?
