    Default installing rear fog light

More and more, I am thinking it's a good idea to have a rear fog light in bad weather, and I am wondering if there is a kit or some easy way to install one in the rear tail light. Was this ever an option for the E34? Has anyone here done this? Thanks!

    they belong on the front!

if you hook one to the backup lights you might need to use a relay so the wires dont burn out, thats just my guess.

you have to have one by law in uk/euro...

You see what looks like 2 "empty" lights under the reversing lights - they're the foglights.. I assume they're blanked off for us cars or something? euro ones (mine included) light up both sides..
Dont know if yours would be prewired or to what extent or anything though, but perhaps euro rear light would be a start? (with the foglight bulbs included)

    Default Euro Models had them

they are basically the wasted light on the US trunk light set.

Just need to open the sockect up on the light and add the bulb, base, some wiring, relay, fuse and of course the Euro fog light switch with the rear option. This may be one of those happy options that are prewired.

Some guys have done it, and I think there is a webpage somewhere out there.

U.S. cars have a different LKM, there is one relay less for the (missing) rear fog lights, the rear cable loom for the rear lights is different, and the fog light switch has only one position instead of 2 in other countries.

What about having the rear fogs on all the time with the regular running lights? Wouldnt hurt to have the extra lighting at all times. Fit the bulbe sockets, solder the wires to the sockets and run the wire to the running lights and solder there. Forget the switch, relay, fuses, etc.

US drivers tend to think your brakes are on
