Default Woo! New car! (pics inside)

Well, a couple of peeps from the chatroom know I've been getting another e34 - today i went & picked it up..

    It's a 1989 535i auto, 81,000 miles on it..
Bad points: battery's totally dead, wont even charge - hence I think that's causing the dash display not to work properly..
Oh - and the gearbox is kaputt - has reverse but no forward drive. My guess is it's been revved in park/neutral
Good points: It has full leather, air con (mine has neither), It has a tape head unit with 6cd changer in the boot, 5 good tyres, good exhaust, quiet motor etc etc.. Even has a boot spoiler, and a full (apart from triangle) toolkit!

Originally the plan was to strip it for parts for mine, but I have a known good gearbox coming to me tomorrow for free, and to be honest - it's too good to scrap!
Oh - the best bit? I paid £100 (GBP) for it!

Will get more pics tomorrow when it's light

Scrap it for parts? You're kidding right? I'm glad you finally sobered up

more like $200, but he could sitll get back what he paid just by selling the cd changer on ebay.

i think it's missing it's front panel - not looked closer yet as there's no power to eject the magazine..
It's a Pioneer of some sort - actually sounds alright! (although i think front left speaker has stopped working)
    The changer:

The head unit - there's a little flap that drops down to reveal the tape deck..

No clue how original it might be, but still cool anyway!

and for the price, I'm not that fussy about which side the steering wheel is on
Hmmm... now the hunt begins for a manual box to put in the white one...
