    Default moving shift strip doohicky

I need the black plastic strip that moves back and forth at the base of the auto shifter. I dont even know what it is called!
Anyone know where to find one? Thanks. Ian

I need one too- mine broke just from too much pressure while trying to clean it while I was detailing my interior. Found them at bavauto.com... apparently they are called the "Shifter Sliding Cover". Search part # 51 16 1 938 352

    Hope that helps

Bought one for my (now dead) 525i last month, cost me £2.35 sterling from BMW. Easy to fit too.

There are instructions on the net for making said "shifter sliding cover" from a A4 folder cover. Mine worked out ok. No link sorry,
